Tasting Notes
Malatinszky Noblesse Cabernet Franc 2015 BIO - Dry Red Wine is a powerful, concentrated BIO Cabernet Franc that builds the sip with dark fruit, herbal-smoky nuances and massive tannin. Cabernet Franc is an important and old Bordeaux variety. It shows stronger colour, dark-fruit aromas, plum, blackberry, herbs, leather, tobacco, floral tones and poetry. It generally gives a paler, lighter, softer and more aromatic wine than Cabernet Sauvignon, and can also lean toward green, vegetal tones. On the palate it is powerful and concentrated, a two-bite wine with massive tannins; the fruit is woven through superbly, the oak does not dominate at all, and the wine handles the tightrope between power and elegance as well as possible, all with inner peace. Thanks to the soil-water reserves accumulated in 2014 and the increasingly conscious work of our winemakers, excellent wines were born especially from varieties richer in acidity, while early varieties mostly produced soon-ageing, forgettable and simple wines. About the vintage: brutally hot, attacked by constant heatwaves and extremely dry.
Food Pairing
It pairs well with substantial stews, lamb dishes and beef dishes, whether for a weekday dinner or more considered food pairing.
