Tasting Notes
Dobosi Juhfark 2024 BIO - Dry White Wine is a characterful Juhfark with firmer acidity, citrus freshness, limestone tones and a long-lasting structure that delivers a Balaton experience. This Hungarian variety takes its name from the parallel, cylindrical shape of the grape cluster, resembling a sheep’s tail. It is pale yellow in colour, with citrus appearing first on the nose, and it carries the limestone notes of the Nivegy Valley, which also show richly on the palate; all this is held long by well-integrated acidity. The variety is known for retaining acidity very well, which further supports its place in the middle of climate change, as it ripens beautifully while harmonious acids support the wine. In the glass the wine moves slowly; the sip is clean and shows complexity beyond its young age. In our BIO farming, harvesting fully ripe berries is an essential part of the work, giving a fuller, more substantial sip. This is a dry BIO white wine with Balatonfüred-Csopak protected designation of origin.
Food Pairing
An excellent choice with smoked cheeses, creamy poultry dishes and fish dishes, keeping the overall impression balanced.
