Streit Zagonyi Merlot 2018 - Dry Red Wine is a mature, dense Villány Merlot that gives a rich sip with black and red berry fruit, sweet spices and chocolate tones. Merlot is an important variety in Villány. Aromas reminiscent of ripe black and red berries form the main motif, enriched and made layered and lovable by the sweet spices of the barrel and chocolate. In excellent vintages, it gives serious raw material from which a full-bodied, dense and often charming wine is made. It calls for complex, exciting food. A substantial red wine from Villány, Merlot is the source of top wines for many producers and has an important place here as well.
Food Pairing
If thinking in wine-and-food pairing, a spicy, complex dish suits it, for example Boeuf Bourguignon. A refined choice for beef and game dishes. Merlot should not be forgotten at dessert either: a restrained-sugar chocolate sponge cake can be a perfect companion.
