Illyés Kúria Kékfrankos 2022 BIO - Dry Red Wine is a full-bodied yet soft and balanced BIO Blaufränkisch that shows a surprisingly new face of the variety. Layered on the nose, it combines fruit and spice with herbal and mineral nuances. On the palate, ripe sour cherry, blackberry and blackcurrant are clearly recognisable, while dark chocolate and fine vanilla barrique notes give the wine its silky texture. Pleasant, substantial and full of potential, it strengthens the line of great Hungarian Blaufränkisch wines.
Food Pairing
A good match for duck, grilled meats, mushroom dishes and richer poultry plates, where the wine’s ripe fruit, silky texture and fine barrique spice can support the food without becoming heavy.
