Tasting Notes
Dobosi Nivegy-völgy Olaszrizling (Hegybor) 2024 BIO - Dry White Wine is a riper, more substantial Olaszrizling, where the fine layers of barrel ageing and medium acidity give a longer, more serious sip. Classic-category wines, including this BIO Olaszrizling, are recommended for drinking between one and three years of age. The nose shows ripe fruit notes and delicate aromas from barrel ageing, which become fuller on the palate and are held long by medium acidity. The name Nivegy Valley has been registered and protected by the local winegrowing community, and can only be used for quality Olaszrizling harvested here. This is a dry white wine with protected designation of origin from the Nivegy Valley. At the end of fermentation it is kept on fine lees: half goes into 500-litre wooden barrels, while the other half matures in tank. It comes together beautifully already at one year old, and by the second year a fine bottle bouquet appears.
