It is strong ruby red. The nose shows black fruit, smoky notes, some cardboard, wet stone, chalkiness, depth and herbs. The attack is dense and concentrated; the tannin is slightly drier here than in other vintages, but the wine is consistent. The finish is dark-fruited and very long. It is 100% Cabernet Franc from the Köves-föld vineyard, Siklós-Máriagyűd, with 15% alcohol — a hot year when the vines suffered from drought stress.
